Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 17 August 2026
The service is operated by PolicyCheckr, a limited liability company registered in the United States ("we", "us"). These terms form the agreement between you and PolicyCheckr and govern your use of the service. By creating an account or continuing to use the service you agree to them. If you are agreeing on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind it; if you are agreeing as an individual, you confirm you are of legal age.
The service
PolicyChekr analyses policy documents you provide and returns an automated grade, a per-criterion breakdown, framework-alignment coverage, strengths and recommendations. Features may change as the product evolves.
Accounts and security
You must provide accurate details, keep your credentials confidential and maintain two-factor authentication. You are responsible for activity under your account and for the people you invite to your team seats.
Free trial
New accounts receive a 7-day free trial. When the trial ends, an active subscription is required to view or create gradings. You can still sign in, manage security settings, subscribe, and delete your data after the trial expires.
Subscriptions and billing
- Individual — $25 per month, one user.
- Team — $50 per month, up to 5 users.
- Enterprise — $100 per month, up to 10 users.
Full plan details are on our pricing page. Plans renew monthly until cancelled. Cancelling stops future renewals; access continues to the end of the paid period. Discount codes apply only for the number of billing cycles stated when issued.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms.
Refunds
We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on subscription payments. See our Refund Policy for how to request one through Paddle.
Your content
You keep all rights in the documents you upload. You grant us only the permission needed to store, process and display them so we can deliver grading, exports and version history. You confirm you have the right to submit each document and that doing so does not breach any confidentiality obligation.
Acceptable use
Do not use PolicyChekr to break the law, upload malware, attempt to access other accounts, probe or overload the service, resell access, or scrape output at scale. We may suspend accounts that put the service or other customers at risk.
Automated grading is not legal advice
Grades, framework-alignment coverage and recommendations are generated automatically and may be incomplete or incorrect. They are decision support, not legal, regulatory or compliance advice, and they do not certify that a policy meets any standard. Have a qualified professional review anything you rely on.
Availability
We aim to keep PolicyChekr available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance, third-party outages and model provider limits can affect grading.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided as is and our aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits or regulatory penalties.
Termination
You may cancel or delete your account at any time from Account settings. We may suspend or end access for a material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated policy violations. Deleting your account permanently removes your policies, gradings and version history.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, and the courts located there have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, without affecting mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
Changes
We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest revision. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
